Enhance Your Property’s Security:

Rural Crime Watch Member Signs

An integral part of the Rural Crime Watch (RCW) Program is the use of signage. These signs not only signify your participation in the program but also act as a deterrent to potential criminals. If you’re a member of the South East Alberta Rural Crime Watch Association (SEABRCWA), you can obtain various signs to display on your property.

Available Signs

We offer two types of signs for our members:

  1. No Trespassing Signs

    • Purpose: Clearly communicate that unauthorized entry is prohibited on your property.
    • Material: Available in durable plastic or reflective aluminum for enhanced visibility.
  2. RCW Member Signs

    • Purpose: Indicate that you are part of the Rural Crime Watch Program.
    • Material: Choose between plastic or reflective aluminum. Reflective aluminum signs offer greater visibility, especially at night.

Rural Crime Watch Signs: Why They Matter

  • Visibility: Displaying RCW member signs alerts potential intruders that your property is part of a crime watch network, which can discourage criminal activity.
  • Community Awareness: Signs inform both residents and visitors that the area is actively monitored, fostering a sense of community vigilance.
  • Deterrence: The bright colors and clear messaging on these signs can help prevent crime by signaling that you are engaged in a proactive approach to security.

Gate and Fence Post Signs

In addition to the standard signs, we also provide gate and fence post signs:

  • Bright Yellow Signage: These highly visible signs are designed to be placed on gates or fence posts, marking your property as part of the Rural Crime Watch Program.
  • Reflective Aluminum Sign: As a new member, you’ll receive a reflective aluminum gate post sign, which enhances visibility even in low-light conditions.
  • Additional Signs: If you need more signs for different locations on your property, additional signs can be purchased.

Rural areas are often characterized by vast agricultural landscapes, family farms, and close-knit communities where people know and look out for each other. However, the sparse population and isolated locations in these areas can create opportunities for criminal activities.
